tau tak apa itu panic attack? Why is it so important smpi I have to make special entry about it.
Ok.. let me share my experience with you readers (if any, hikhikhik). To cut the story short...I signed up for 6x facial treatment at one of the beauty salons in MidV. How/why I sign up? it should be in another special entry.ANW, for my first few visits, I really enjoyed the experience. The moment I lied down on the bed, I slept peacefully and woke up when the session was done. I always looking forward for the next treatment.
But the joy wasn't forever. I went for my normal session during Ramadhan and as usual, it's already set in my mind... time to sleep. Yes... I did sleep but this time I woke up unexpectedly at the almost-end of the session. I was wearing mask that time with net covered on my face (including nose, mouth & ayes). But no mask paste on those areas. The moment I woke up, I felt I cannot breath & suddenly the room felt so hot. I felt so scared of not able to breath & started sweating. I seriously felt very scared & like I was going to die. The net made things worse. felt like to pull out anything on my face. That net really made me gasping for air. Tried not to panic... I called the beautician but I didn't know what's her name. I just said.. hello... helloo. Hoping someone will hear me. My voice was still in controlled manner , still can control myself from screaming. luckily someone heard me & the beautician came. I told her I cannot breath & wanted her to clean my face. Sh said it's not time to remove the mask yet & just about 10 min left. Initially, I tried to follow what she suggested. But the moment she left again, I felt panic again and told her to take off everything. It really made me upset & scared for the next session. On the way back to office, I put lots of thought about it. At one time I felt to withdraw from the treatment. But I paid all already & didn't think, I'll get refund if I quit.
To make matter, I thought it wouldn't happened again. The next few days, I got the attack again. this time in a commuter. Same symptom...I was sleeping in the commuter & suddenly the train stopped due to system problem. I couldn't breath & started sweating. Luckily, it didn't take long & manage to control myself. keep telling myself to take a deep breath.
Then, I googled about panic attack & how to handle the situation. Alhamdulillah, things get better. I managed to control the feeling. In fact, since the attack at the salon, I already went twice for the facial. The first time, I was really scared & panic. Luckily the beautician is very understanding. I told her my problem & surprisingly, it is normal *phooh*. She made it easier for me & I know what to do if I don;t want to get the attack again. The answer is don't sleep :)
