Don't know what to put for the title..

Syawal just came at me, shared a good-not-so-good news :). This is what we called blessing in disguise? What is the news?? Sshhhhh. You'll find out sooner or later. At the moment, just look at our happy faces, fresh from the camera (*hint3x*), *BigGrin*.

I am so relieved.... :)

I came to the office, early in the morning. The first thing that I wanted to do was to print my simulaton results that I ran over the weekend. However I didn't know why but I couldn't print them out. The incident almost spoil my working mood but I tried to re-act positively by running other simulations until noon with hope, I could print them out later. By noon, took a short break. However, when I was having my lunch at my desk while watching Ezora something went wrong. The internet connection was suddenly gone & with help from friends in my bay, we did some troubleshooting which we finally found that the problem came from the network cable. After changed to a new cable, now the network connection is up & running again *phhoooh*. Now I can continue my work but in the meanwhile let's surf the net. Huhuhuhu.

Lesson learnt from today's incident is whatever happen, don't panic BUT think & re-act positively.

My new desk :)

I 'officially' moved to the new desk yesterday. The feeling??? Great!!. I've been dreaming for that desk for so long. Never expect that I'll get the chance...huhuhu. The location is more isolated, more privacy, bla, bla, bla, I-love-it, bla,bla. Stephen, a chinese friend told me that the location has a good fenshui because there's a wall at my back, which means good support. Hmm.... I don't believe it for sure but I do hope I'll have a strong support from everyone for my PhD:). Please pray for my success & syawal too.

This is my new desk. That is Frood's old chair. Geoff said I could throw it but I do like it :), so I think I'll keep it. Frood also left me the paper tray & small stand fan.. Thanks Frood ;)

Members of Bay 5 2008

When I first came here, I was placed in a room together with 3 other students & later joined by another student. Then we all moved to the current building May last year & my circle of friends become bigger. Well, one (Frood)of them is leaving today & we'll surely miss him. We threw a small farewell party for Frood today. Even though it was a small one, I could see Frood was so touched. They are 10 ppl in our bay (2 are not in picture) & we're quite close and Frood is the only English.

Who are we?? Me (M'sian), Somphop (Thai), Reha (M'sian), Gaitha (Syria), Evo (mexican), Stephen (M'sian), Dibin (China), Kiwi (China), Han (M'sian) & Frood, who is leaving today. Frood is wearing the stripey bluey & blacky orange shirt.

My Monday

It's my turn to pick syafique from school today so I went to office bit early, which was about 8am. With bright shiny day + the chilly wind made the day even more beautiful. Guess who was the 1st person that I bumped into?? The answer is my supervisor. Everyday, on my way to the office I'll pass the parking lot for staffs. My SV parks his car here & he usually parks his car at the same spot every day. I know he drives Honda Jazz & I know whether he's already arrive or not yet. BTW, he is a morning person & by 8am he already in his office. This morning, from not-very-far I saw another car (Audi wagon) was trying to park at his normal spot. I thought it was somebody else, but when I came closer & the driver came out, it was actually my SV. I guess he was driving his 2nd car. Not just that, he wasn't alone. There was a woman with him who is actually his wife. So, he introduced me to her, chat very little & like my SV, his wife is such a nice lady.

Then I continued my way to office feeling much more enthusiastic. By meeting my SV early in the morning, I guess I got some credits there *hehehhe*. Upon arriving to the office, I took my sandals pix. Just bought from boot sales (where else???)yesterday. They're not brand new but still in very good condition & when I wore them, they're so comfy..... When I mentioned comfy that means they are Clarks, specifically Clarks springer for summer wear & what's more?? They're made in England too.!! I actually have another Clarks sandals about the same design. I bought that one last year brand new, bigger one size from my actual but unnoticeable. I wore them this summer & I guess I won't be using them anymore :).


My camera batteries was almost died this time but I managed to snap this pix. I am moving to another desk after this. I guess this is the last picture of me at this desk. A friend is leaving & I took over his desk which is more strategic in doing non-PhD work.. huhuhu. Another friend in our bay is taking over my current desk, same reason with me as mine is better than him. See.. we're doing PhD but spend most of the time browsing *wink3x* so the least you want is caught red-handed by your sv (like they care *huh*).
