A gift from My Darling :)

This entry is a verly long overdue entry. In fact dah basi pun, hhehehhehe. I just transfered all the pix to my lappy, hence baru boleh buat this entry. I kan dah ada new lappy skrg, hehheheheh. bolehlah aktif balik mem'blogging'. banyak bnd nk di blogkan ni.

ok back to the title of the entry. kalau ingat entry ni, ni nak tau kesudahannya lah. hheheheh. few months b4 balik m'sia aku dh keep mengendeng brg LV dari syawal. Anything will do asalkan brg LV. Plannya aku nak beli purse aje. Of course aku kena sediakan strong reasons & fact why I deserve it. klu tod's tu psl aku dpt phd tapi LV ni sbb banyak urusan kt rumah aku yg buat. bukan housechores aje tp pendek kata aku is the secretary to make sure everything is OK and he agrees with me. Dah ingat nk pg london nk beli tp mungkin dh x ada rezeki aku nk pakai LV, di pendekkan citer tak dapat nak beli. Tapi tak adalah lepas macam tu je kan? x dapat LV, brand lain pun OK. gua tak kisah punya. any brand will do as long as syawal nk belikan.

so, beli kt heathrow airport ajelahh masa hari balik msia tu. I wanted to buy purse b'cos last time aku beli purse thn 2004. A very cheap one, bought at T.K.Mexx during my master. Kat LV pun, mmg nak cari purse aje. So, during at T3, heathrow, keluar masuk semua boutique, carik mana berkenan. I finally found one lah. the price is mcuh cheaper dr purse LV yg aku nak. syawal sukalah tu sbb jumat duit dia, huhu. Aku pun suka jugak w/pun x LV. Orang belikan mestilah suka...

** My old purse... sangat tidak cantik, kan?**

**Kita tengok kotak dulu**

**Bukak kotak... hheheh, jakunnya aku**

**Simple aje pursenya... but match with my TOD's bag**

**forgot the name but use to scrub the skin.  After rinsing, ur skin will be very smooth like baby's skin, hehehheh**

**What I bought that day (not the model)**

my place has been confirmed & really looking forward for the day. not for the ceremony but for the camwhoring session, hikhikhik. I'll make sure hundrredsss of pix will be taken that day. So frens.... pls come & make the day more happening!!!!.

And another important thing to think is what to wear? hmmmmm........Well, given all the circumstances, I've decided to wear anything in my wardrobe. That anything only applies to 'baju kurung' of course :).What really matter is I must look good in the pix, hehehe. typical me. As for the heel shoes, since I've packed them all, I need to buy a new pair. Thnx to CBS, @ below 10pnd, I managed to buy 3 pairs of branded shoes & will wear only one of them. Honestly, I already lost count how many shoes have I boughht (BN or bought in CBS) since I came 3 yrs ago. Hope ,my craziness of buying shoes will be reduced in m'sia.

ok....now let's just wait 4 the day

shop till you drop

For the past few wks and until today, I think my (& syawal) main xtvty is shopping, shopping and shopping. And I seriously need to control myself from keep spending, hhuhuhuhu. Luckily syawal is always besides me. so whenever I wanted to buy unnecessary stuff, he will say NO. Believe it or not, most of the times I will listen/obey to what he says.

The main reason why we keep buying things is b'cos we're going back for good soooooooooooon. We realized that we couldn't shop like this when we're going back home. Even though I have my things to buy list but with the summer sales signs everywhere, I feel like to buy everything, huhuhuhuhu. Since my FIL is here, we have to take him out. He doesn't like to go for any sight seeing xtvty. So... where else to go except shopping mall. he likes to shop more than me. I think he always got something to buy in any shop he entered. He keeps saying; buy whatever you want & he'll pay bBut we're not bad kids, we just bought something that are cheap, hehehhe.

When we went to Bicester village, we didn't shop much b'cos we need to get home quick to pick up syafique from school. I only bought what I planned to buy. Then, last Mon we took my FIL to gunwharf. that was when my guilt began. Why??? B'cos I bought another GUESS handbag. few days b4 that I just bought tod's h/bag from ebay. When syawal asked me... my answer 50% disc!! & I must buy something. I grabbed something from polo too, huhuhu. Then today we went to swindon designer outlet & the guilt became bigger. Let me think, what did I buy?? Clothes for the kids, triumph for me. Hmmm.. the thing that make me really guilty is I bought skin care product for £50, eeeuuughhh. & I told syawal they're just £25 ...sorry abang :(. If he heard the correct price, I think he'll go mad beyond my imagination. The sales assistant was so good in promoting the products & I fell for it, huhuhu & syawal wasn't with me that time. I just hope they're worth the money.

For today only, I spent (my money) about £150 & my FIL spent > 200. they plan to go there again next Monday *huh* & I already know what to buy next... I hope I'll stick to what I WANT to buy only. And we're going to London 2morrow as my FIL wants to but souvenirs. Will I buy something there?? well... I need to buy some souvenirs too :). Anyway, when we're in gunwharf I told syawal that I don't want to follow them for any more shopping xtvty b'cos i know i'll end up buying something. But knowing syawal, he always wants me to come with him wherever he goes. So... he can't blame me right??? The other thing is.... syra is always been good during those shopping mopping time. She just sleeping & wake up when I am almost done with my shopping. How heaven is that?

Anyway, syawal is also bz with his shopping...online shopping a.k.a. ebay. he already bought two things & in a process to buy at least another 2 things. The cost of those things??? For me ... I am not happy BUT i can't say much b'cos it's his hobby/interest/passion...GADGET. the truth, I can't say much as I shopped a lot too, hikhikhikhik

I plan(MUST) to stop shopping after my FIL go back next thurs. Besides, All the stuffs in my list are mostly been crossed. We need to start packing..........

bye2

My 1st crocs

The 1st time I saw a crocs was few yrs ago. My 1st impression....what a horrible dsgn. However, now I think they're pretty cool & I got myself a pair when we went to gunwharf few wks ago. Just £10 after sales. I wish the shop has other dsgn that i saw in the crocs's website.

the pix below were taken in the lift at my office. I just want to see how do I look in crocs. Well, I think.......... not that bad, hehehe. In fact, not bad at all & I feel cool wearing them :P. the most important thing, they're comfortable :)

A gift from me to myself

Pass my PhD viva is one of the important things happened in my life. Anyway, I told myself I should give reward to myself. And when it is a reward, it must be something different/expensive, something that I always wanted but couldn't afford it. Since I passed, I decided to buy something that I've been eyeing for so long. Co-incidently I got some money (handsome amount) from the gov few wks ago so nothing can stop from buying it :) even though just with syawal's 3/4 approval. My one & only excuse... a present for myself for my success.

yesterday, we went to Oxford to collect an item that syawal just bought from ebay & since we're in that area, Bicester village is a must to go. This is what I got for myself...TOD's loafer at £***.**. The 2nd expensive stuff that I bought after this one

*** I am happy....***
p/s1: I just bought a TOD's large bag, from ebay, to match with the loafers. Haven't told syawal yet. scared!!! But I already have answers if he questions me, which I definitely sure he will, huhuhuh.

p/s2: Syawal promised to give me special present for my success too. Something that I've been dreaming for so long. Of course much more expensive that what I bought. I hope he won't change his mind. Need to go to Harrods ASAP...huhuhuhu.

Let's shopppppp

First of all, I actually have loads of pixs to share but at the moment I am totally lazy to upload them here, especially from my camera phone. The main reason maybe b'cause I blog in a very uncomfortable condition. Yup....since last month, I've to set up the notebook in the bedroom & have to work on the bed. Very uncomfortable. So...at the moment please enjoy my picture'less entry :).

Anyway... back to the title of this entry, shopping mopping. it's time for me & syawal to think what to buy before going back home in July. Yup... we are 100% positive that we're going back this July. Why??? because our visa will be expired that month. However b4 going back, I (our) wish... to attend the graduation ceremony. Hope everything goes well.. my & syawal's viva. the only problem now is syawal's sv. Syawal is still waiting for his sv to return his last 2 chapters. Until that he couldn't do anyting. I just told him to prepare the rest of his thesis while waiting from his SV. his sv actually think that July is still long time to go & he doesn't have to rush, huhuhuhu.

back to our shopping list. Syawal has his own list & me definitely has my own. I've started shopping my stuff since last december, started with the bedding thingy. The dinnerware (correlle & china) is complete I think. It's just that if I have xtra money, I might want to add another few bits & pieces. For the electrical appliances, I just found out there is actually a kenwood factoy outlet near portsmouth which is very good. How did I find out about the shop???? from the radio advert, Ocean FM. We went there last week, just to see what they offer. Well, the store is not that big but they have everything on my list. I didn't buy anything yet but Ina bought can opener for my sis's MIL which is much cheaper compared to the RRP. What I need to do now is just to find out what & which model I want. We'll definitely go back there again...sooner or later.

the other thing that I want to buy is the Queen Anne silver plated stuff. I always tried to find the best time to go there as I had an unpleasant experience when I went there for the 1st time.... terrible traffic jam. Then, went there for the 2nd time & thank God, not much trouble & bought some. Then I planned to buy QA as souvenirs for the relatives which means we have to go there again. We went there again last Dec & even booked a Travelodge but the shop was closed, huhuhuu. What a total waste!! Then I decided just to wait for Ina to come here so that we could go together. I know she'll definitely like it. This time, b4 going there I checked on the opening times on their website first. Since there was no sign of labour yet, so I decided to go there yesterday. On the way there, gave them a call just to make sure that they're open. Ina is definitely happy with the trip & me too, of course. We left the factory with a boot full of QA. On the way back, ina regret herself. She wished she could buy more. But I told her that it is very unlikely that I want to go there again, considering the long travel & they're only open on weekdays. But who knows, maybe I change my mind in the future as it's really a good bargain. We spent about £200 & we went back home with one boot packed and full of QA stuff. Totally worth the money. BTW, Ina already have quite some collection of QA & she noticed that the QA bought here in UK are much better compared to the QA in langkawi. I guess the langkawi's QA are the pirate one.... made in China, not made in England. So, if u're Q lover, make sure you go the QA factory at Wednesbury, West Midlands.

On the way back to soton, I asked syawal if we could make a quick stop at Bicester village & he said Ok, yeyyee. Ina always happy to go to any shopping places but abah suggested we just went home straight away. Yes, that is my abah. Whenever we go out anywhere, he can't wait to go back home ASAP. of course his suggestion was rejected, hehehhe. Anway, i did tell Ina the place is quite high end where everything is VERY expensive. We did enjoy our time there though & me even happier cos I got my 1st Le creuset stuff, even though just a kettle. well, for me a contemp kettle at just £15 is really a good bargain. those who know Le Creuset, you know how ridiculously expensive their stuff are. I also found the stainless steel pan with two short holders that I've been searching for so long but the price???? I have to hold my desire to buy them yet. But at least now I know where to get them. Maybe i'll get a good bargain in the future, InsyaAllah. Anyway, I don't know why but I really like to go to Bicester village even though the chances of me buying anything is very thin but I just love going there. I'll definitely drag syawal to go there again & I know he loves to go there too, mayba just for a cappuccino at Pret A Manger or Starbucks, hehhehe. I also aim to buy something there but at the moment I'll keep it to myself but already told syawal for his blessing. So far, no objection from him *yeyeyeyyeye*. Again, if the budget permits, heheheh.

Ok.. what else I want to buy. oh yes.. I've always dreaming of having a nursery for my kids but it's not really important. It depends if I have time to browse around looking for a good bargain.

I am so sleepy now & I think it's time to stop. But after this lengthy shopping mopping entry, i feel so energetic & happy. How I love shopping. If i have tonnes of money...........

New update: I just uploaded our pix at kenwoood factory outlet, today(300409)

Grrrrrrr

This happened to me yesterday when I went to the city centre for window shopping alone. I am so much want to enjoy my window shopping peacefully, so I didn't ask syawal and syafique to come with me. They of course were more happy not to come with me, hehhehehe. The Blue Cross sales at Debenhams started on Wed & it is one of the sales that you must not miss :). Since we haven't had any plan yesterday, I decided to go yesterday. Besides, I have 2 pnd Boots voucher to redeem. And the most important reason is to keep active for easy delivery process, I hope. If I just stay at home, I'll spend most of my time snuggling on the sofa.

After having lunch at Pizza Hot '4' U (the bezt pizza in Soton) together, syawal dropped me at Debenhams. As expected I got few good bargain stuffs. What are they? Not to be revealed here but enuff to say something to spice up the marriage *wink3x*. By the time I was done there, I actually was already exhausted but still got some energy left to walk from debenhams to the high street.

The next stop was Boots, got what I wanted & before paying, I wanted to grab a mineral water as I was really thirsty & tired. This was when 'it' happened that really make me 'grrrrr'. Not to anybody, but to myself. On the way to the till, I saw this offer.... buy Nurofen and get a bottle of mineral water for FREE. Since syawal still isn't in good form in the past few days & our ibuprofen almost finish, so I thought this is really a good bargain. However, I didn't notice how much the Nurofen was but I thought it must be just around 1 - 2 pnd.

** the thing that make me 'ggrrrrrr' to myself**

So, I went straight to the till & expected that my purchases wouldn't be more or less 10 pnd. I was totally wrong.... My whole purchase was about 14 pnd. Hmmm.... when I looked at the receipt, the nurofen was almost 4pnd. Whatttt??? If I just bought the water, it only cost me 58p, huuhuhuhuhuhuhu. Grrr... in the 1st place I never planned to buy Nurofen but I fell for that FREE offer. Syawal just laughed at me when I told him my regret, aaarrrgghh. If I buy the in house brand, it would cost less than 1pnd. Aaarghh, I really regret myself for being stu*id.

**That is the free mineral water that I got..... huhuhu**

Anyway, that didn't stop me from enjoying my leisure time. Managed to get into few other shops b4 syawal called me to know whether I was ready to go back or not. Thank God he called b'cos by that time I could barely walk. I forced myself to walk to our meeting point and I warned him in the 1st place, that I walked in a very slow pace, so please be patient. It was heaven when I finally reached & got into the car. And the 1st thing I did when got into the house was straight to the bed, lied my back down. So comforting but overall I had big fun!! can surely do this again..anytime.

Another 6 wks...

It's already 34 weeks, another 6 wks to go InsyaAllah. Eventhough deep in my heart I hope it'll be sooner, but not that soon, hehehheheheh as I want to have my mom's cook first. InsyaAllah, my parents & youngest bro will be arriving on the 2nd week of April. I already have my long list of what-I-want-to-eat. Hmmm, yummy2x.

As for my bump, it grows bigger rapidly for the couple of weeks ago. My growing bump cannot be hide anymore. Also, I getting more uncomfortable these days, especially at nights. My bump is tightening and that make me just lie down on the sofa most of the times. However, no matter how uncomfortable am I, I always need to munch, munch and munch *sigh*. The only time that I feel really relax is when waking up very morning. I feel so free, relax, cool, etc,etc & almost feel like I am not pregnnat. Sometimes, I have to feel my bump to ensure that I am still pregnant, hikhikhik. The feeling's is then gone after I have my 1st meal of the day, then the cranky pregnant lady is back. Not forgetting I've became a very sensitive, sensitive to everything. So, I think the less I communicate with ppl, the better it will be. At least for now, only syawal got the heat, who else right?

As for the preparation, I think I've got almost everything done except few small things like nappies, baby toiletries, etc, etc. Will do that later.. Also need to pack for my & her hospital bags but will do it with syafique. I read it somewhere that by doing this together, he'll be more prepared with the arrival of a new member to the family. Actually, me & syawal were shocked when he said we'll not love him anymore when the baby comes out. I really don't know where he gets that thought. So, we think it's very important to prepare him mentally.

Let's see, what I've prepared so far. For my little missy....

Not just the little missy to be prepared but me too, especially on how to get my figure back after giving birth, hikhikhikhik. But this is not complete yet :)

Got to go... need to pick up syafique from skool.

My 1st coach bag

Remember this entry? Actually, that was the first time I bought stuff from online blog besides ebay or amazon. I've been following that blog for quite sometimes before I finally decided to give a try. My comment.: totally reliable, trustable & I love my new handbag. Yup... my 1st coach bag. And I got free fridge magnet with the purchase :)

Coach bags are very famous in M'sia but not really in UK & for me, the price is really not cheap. Normally the price is more than RM500. So, one day when I opened that blog & saw a coach bag @ just RM350, I immediately emailed the seller w/out consulting syawal first. Not long after that, I got her response & yup, the bag is mine :). Syawal only knew about it when the bag arrived & it's too late for him to nag at me, hikhihikhik. Besides, it's just RM350, right abang? *wink3X*.

I also have a same bag about the same design with this coach bag but it's Guess. A present from my fren, Pong. We bought the bag together & she only paid £16 for the bag. They are both beautiful, aren't they?

I think I won't buy any more bags after this but who knows right??? It's just that I have so many things to buy b4 we go back for good but we don't really have tonnes of money. So we have to plan carefully on what to buy or what not to buy, huhuhuh

On New Year Day

We started our 1st day of 2009 by waking up early as we had a breakfast invitation at Egham, Surrey, our fren's BIL house. Fren (Doc) that came to our house a day before. We were served a big spread of breakfast... fried rice, sandwiches, spring roll, curry puff, muffin, grapes, tea & orange juice. We actually just met them but they are all very friendly & treated us like family. Even syawal can adapt himself easily. Since they knew that we're going to Harrods, Doc & his BIL (plus the wifeys) wanted to join us too. No problemo. Even better, we went there in their MPV & we left our car at their house.

The traffic was amazingly smooth, reached the Harrods area about 11.30 am. harrods opened at 12pm but we had to struggle to find parking space. Finally we managed to find one, far behind the museum which was quite far from harrods. Luckily, the weather was not so bad. We had a great time strolling from behind Natural History Museum (where we parked the car) to harrods which took almost 20 min walk. I got my replacement very easily, they didn't even checked my receipt. Even better, they came in a nicer packaging. What more, the VW Princess was already out of stock. Luckily we went there on the 1st day sales.

Since the crowd was not too bz, we managed to do more window shopping + shopping a bit, plus snappy2 in there even we could see 'No Photos' sign. I had much time to observe how cheap is harrods sale. Well... Harrods is not in our range, or we're out of their range. You couldn't find anything below £25, except the souvenirs & perfumes. maybe the home section is quite OK but still not cheaper from Debenhams. We even saw this cutlery set of 1++ at their display window, after 50% disc, the price is £10,+++. Now u can imagine their range of prices. But if u're aiming for the perfumes... yes, very good bargain. Much cheaper from any other places I think.

It was already 2pm when we left Harrods & we were all starved. The nearest eating place is M'sian Hall. Plus we could performed our Zuhur/Asar there as well. The fren bought us all lunch, another money saving there. Nothing special about the lunch. I had 'nasi campur with 3 dishes' & the sambal tempe/kentang was quite salty. I also had pengat pisang & fruit pickles (jeruk). Then from there, we went to Popat store. they wanted to see the Corelle store & I was more than happy to show them where is the shop. Guess that was our last destination??? Nope, u're wrong.

Our final stop that day was at Syawal & Doc cyber fren's house. The three of them (plus others) met in a mawifc forum few yrs back & they still become friends until now. I really adore them, how they become friends, bla, bla, bla & they're all come from diff group. The hosts served rice but we're already full. From there, went back to the Doc's BIL house. Performed our maghrib/isyak there & then we went back to Soton. reached home about 9.30pm. What a very tiring but enjoyable day.

There were lots of reasons that make me happy on that day of course. The 1st thing was I got my replacement perfume, then, our trip was at a very minimal cost & finally we met new nice frens. and now I am ready to get back to work & I have not so much time left. My BIG final deadline is March, aaaarggghhh and mini deadline is less than a week, huhuhu

December 30, 2008

I fell in love...

... with one Zara coat and the price???? So upsetting :(.

I don't think syawal will let me buy it, definitely. Ooooooo, how could I persuade him to let me buy it??? Think, think, think.

I need to think rational here. If I buy it, I'll only wear it for couple of months. What more, this maybe our last winter here. So.... when will I wear it again? Well, maybe in my defense, I could wear it whenever I have an oustation job in a 4 seasons country that is I don't know when. I think that reason is not strong enough. Hmmm. How if I promise not to buy anything for me after this??? Of course the baby stuff is not included in the deal. I totally fell in love with the awesome & precious coat. I never bought a brand new coat b'cause of my size. I can hardly find a coat that fit me perfectly, so most of my coats bought at boot sales. Unlike this zara coat, the moment I put it on, I felt it was made for me. On my way back home, I kept seeing myself in that beautiful coat. Syawal wasn't there when I tried the coat. It was just me & syafique went for window shopping at west quay this evening. He was on his way to London for a meeting with the minister. I did tell him though that I am sad of something & even told him not to angry at me when I tell him later. He just called me, told me that he is on his way back & will reach home nearly  midnight. Scary, scary......
***LATEST UPDATE on 5th Jan,09***

Surprised!!!!!!!.....I already bought the coat, hehhehehehe.  You must be wondered how I got the approval from syawal.  Well.... I think I want to use the word bless, instead of approve.  He finallly 'blessed' me in buying that coat.  What more... no whining or whatsoever.  Let me flash back to the night when I told him about the coat.  He reached home about midnight that day & I was already on the bed.  I couldn't remember how I started but we're talking on something else that finally led to the coat story.  Well, as expected his response was firm negative but I kept explaining, talking why I really want that coat & I became a bit emotional which involved crying scenes but at a very minimal level.  Not because he angry at me but I just realized I never bought something that I really wanted (like this coat) before.  Unlike him, who always got what he wanted, doesn't matter if we have xtra money or not.   I used his buying habit and compared it with me & I think he also agreed with me.  I may look like the one who always shopping but most of the things that I bought are for our use, not my personal use.  Of course, he did bring up about all my handbags and  shoes.  My defense...I only bought them here in UK & reminded him how I never bought h/bags in M'sia, especially the  branded stuff.  Again... I got a point there.  Our discussion wasn't ended that night as we' re both too sleepy but I could feel that I've smoothen him a bit. I woke up very late the next day and even after woke up, I just lazied (still upset)  on the bed with him too. Syafique woke up earlier than us, went out & watched TV..his routine during the long holidays.  Well, we continued our discussion again.    To cut the story short....I just told him to come with me to the Zara boutique again.  Let me try the coat in front of him & I'll let him decide whether I can buy it or not.  Of course, if he says YES, I'll buy it with my money & promise not to buy anything for me for the next few mnths.  Of couse he can trust me b'cos I made one promise b4  & did keep my promise.  So, he can't argue that with me :).   What more, once in a while syafique joined us on the bed and my beloved syafique remembered that coat too because I tried it infront of him.  He even remeber how many coats I tried that day & he particularly remember that beautiful zara grey coat.  So, the conclusion from our long discussion, we''ll go back to Zara to see the coat, then we'll decide.

We were so bz in the next few days, couldn't find time to go Zara until last Sat, 3/1.  During that period, I think my feeling to buy that coat had been degraded & just looked at ebay. I am a bit reluctant to buy from ebay b'cause I afraid they might not fit me nicely.  And the coats in ebay are not that cheap.   I didn't want to put a high hope on the coat anymore but syawal didn't forget about the coat.  So, we went to Zara & straight to that coat rail & my,my, my........ it's still there with the same price. But seriously,I still felt nothing that time.  However, the moment I put it on & see myself on the wall mirror, I fell in love with the coat again, this time much deeper.    And believe it or not, syawal loves it too. I know the look in his eyes  told me everything.  He agreed the coat is beautiful & suited me, the pregnant lady nicely.  I think I forgot to mention that I  was actually looking for a coat that suitable for maternity.  I've tried maternity coat at H&M & Debenhams but I looked awful, unlike this not-maternity Zara coat that make me feel beautiful, heheheheh.  At least I know syawal agrees with me :). And I am positive I can wear it until end of my pregnancy.  So.... I asked him for the last time, can I buy it???  His answer...just simply OK, no additional remark that might make me hesitant to buy it.   I swear if he shows slight gesture to show him not happy, I will definitely not buy it.

There were few buttons missing from the coat &  did ask the salesgirl about the missing buttons & the answer was......the discount was b'cos of that reason. Ooooooooo.  But she did suggest us to ask about the buttons at the counter.  And yup.... we did get the matching buttons & paid for the coat & it is finally mine.  What made me so touched was syawal was always with me until I paid (with my money).  I had a slight feeling, if I ask him to pay I think he'll pay but for me,  I need his blessing more than his money.

The 1st thing that I did when we reached home was to put on the missing buttons.  Later that night, we went to H'row airport & I definitely wore it.  I did ask him to snap my picture but he ignored me.  I knew he was jealous b'cos he said he'll get the long coat for him too even though he knows this is our last winter.  What more.... he wanted to buy the cashmere long coat.  Hahhahaha... he is definitely jealous.
***END OF UPDATE***

On other different story, tonight when syafique & me watched TV, out of sudden syafique said "Ummi, you don't love abah b'cause you always argue with him". Hmmm...... I was really surprised of course. I told him that it doesn't mean I don't love abah if we argue. Then I asked when did Ummi argue with abah?? His answer was, today, when we're in the lift at ASDA. Ooooooo, now I remember. yes we did argue about car seat & push chair stuff. I am not gonna write about it in detail but for me, it's just a normal argument. We're not agreed on something & syawal questioned me that led to my higher voice (typical me who don't know to talk slowly when angry). But seriously, I already forgot about it when suddenly syafique brought it up. Kids are so unpredictable..... You never know what is in their mind. On diff thought, is it so noticeable of me being so moody/cranky lately???

On another different story, while I started typing this entry, syafique was beside me. He read what I typed. He even made suggestion on what to write, especially about the coat. Few words above are actually his suggestions. Which one, you take a guess *wink*. The funny thing was, not long after that he asked me to open his blog b'cause he wanted to write something in his blog too. And now.... he is writing an entry (or maybe two) in his blog. About what??? Go find out here. He hasn't write anything for quite sometimes. I guess after few times seeing me writing for my blog, he got inspired, hehheheh. Well, three of us (me, syawal & syafique) have our own blog :)

Awal Muharram...

Happy New Hijrah Year for the Muslims :). I always pray for the best to happen to me, syawal, my family & everyone. I thought of fasting today but I felt so hungry last night before went to sleep. Afraid I might be weak today, so no fasting today & most probably not on 10 Muharram too as I have 2 appointments that day.

Anyway, I had a dream last night that made me woke up in sweat, only to realize it was already 10 to 8am. Had to clear my mind of the dream and then performed my 'subuh gajah' :). Well, what was the dream about? I lost my notebook when I left it outside the toilet. When I came out from the toilet, I saw the bag was wide open & the notebook was gone. I screamed and screamed b'cos I didn't know what to do. All my work are inside there & I haven't make the backup for quite sometimes. So relieved when I woke up & realized that it was only a dream. Also to see that my notebook is still on the table. BTW, I slept on the sofa last night. The moment I opened my eyes, it was the 1st thing that I saw.

I found everything is so quiet this morning; the neighbourhood, the YM, the net, the TV programmes and I decide to blog while editing my references in JabRef in this peaceful and quiet moment. As usual.... multitasking. I guess everybody is still in holiday. The school and the university will not open until next week. I am glad I manage to do something useful during the holiday. Apart from all the shopping experience, so far everything works as planned. Alhamdulillah :). I have another task to complete in one week. I hope I could finish it but I am not so happy to do it. It's very stressing when doing it. I know I don't have any other options but just to do it. Well, I guess we'll see how it goes. Besides we've no more specific plans after this so hope I could concentrate on my work.

The summary of my shopping spree... I don't want to count how much we've spent but one thing for sure the shopping xtvty is officially stopped since saturday evening. The shopping will resume back when the baby is coming :). I am just proud of myself b'cos I bought the stuff that were only in my shopping list. On top of that, I had the best shopping experience this year. No unnecessary things & I thank syawal for that b'cos he was the one who kept reminding (read: whining) to me. Of course it wasn't really a nice experience when he whined at me but I think after 8yrs of marriage, I learn to respect his decision more, not just following my head. Besides, he only says NO on clothes, shoes, bags... stuff that I want but not really need. After all I am still a woman with those desire right & what I'll do, if I want something I'll tell him first ask for permission. Who knows if he is in his generous mode I might get it, right? Like during this time :). There is no harm in trying/asking.

Today is 29/12, another 2 days to 2009. How time flies. I feel like I just came to UK but in the same time, I really want to go back home. Syawal & me talk a lot on what are we going to do when we're going back to M'sia. Of course it is mainly on 'Jalan-jalan cari makan' (typical us, :)) plus the plan for our new house. Can't wait for the time to come.........

There is only one sale

For this yr, I decided to go to harrods sale & luckily syawal said Ok when I proposed it to him. Why? Why I so wanted to go to Harrods sale. They're so high end & definitely out of my range. My honest answer... because little missy inside wants to go there, muahahahahahah. More reasonable answer, as I heard from friend who been there, they said the perfumes are very cheap during the sales. As me & syawal have been looking for Vera Wang perfumes for so long, so my aim was to look for the VW perfumes. VW Princess for me & VW for men for syawal. I used this reason to syawal & that is why he agreed to go there.

We reached Knightsbridge tube station about half to 12 & the 1st thing I saw, everybody was holding harrods' shopping bag. And also from the stn to Harrods, saw the same thing. In my mind.... the sales must be very happening. Seriously, I have no idea how big is the sales & the moment we came closer to one of the harrods entrance, the crowd became bigger & once I set my feet inside there, it's getting worse. You can hardly moved. Ppl were everywhere & you had to squeeze urself to move. I had to hold syawal tightly & asked syawal to watch & hold syafique carefully. I never seen a sale like this & I totally agree with their sale tagline, "There is only one sale".

With that crowd in there, I knew that there was no chance for window shopping in there, we just searched for vera wang counter. Luckily they put on the brand's names big on the wall & we just looked fow VW. Finally, after lots of struggling & squeezing, we managed to get to the VW counter & the moment I saw my VW princess gift set, huh, all this hassle pay. Unfortunately, the VW for men was not on sale. Poor syawal... B'cos of that I got me another VW set *BigGrin*, VW Women. yey, yey, yey. For the two sets, we only paid for £50, after 50% less. Thanks abang for letting me buy 2 sets instead of just 1.

The good thing was I only bought what I planned to buy, no overspend problem, hehehhe The truth, I can't wait to get out from there & I think if I spend longer time in there I might black out. We only went to the ground floor & didn't dare to look at other floors. The perfumes dept was the busiest dept on that day, followed by the souvenirs dept. But other depts were not less bz. I could see ppl queuing at branded stuff counter, like Gucci, Dior & LV. I realy didn't understand why so many ppl at the LV as they're excluded from the sales. I guess all these ppl are very rich.

The summary from the harrods sale.... worth going if u're aiming for the perfumes b'cos they're extremely cheap. If you're branded stuff freak, yup.. it's worth shopping there :). As for me, I am very happy because I could experience the Harrods sale, at least when ppl ask me, I know what to tell me. One word...'HAPPENING'.

I am very happy with my VW, not one but two :). Anyway, I don't know when I will use them b'cause my perfume is always Body Shop white musk, less than £10 and could last for a year. As what I always tell syawal, I am a very low maintenance woman. I don't really know about make up, skin care, bla,bla & whatever I want to buy, I always look for cheaper stuff. Hehehheheh
