In progress

Our BM is still in progress. We're happy with the progress from our last visit. the only headache is the money matters, hehhehe. What else? The contractor already told us on the cost increment but he hasn't told how much exactly is the increment. I hope when he quote us the new cost, I won't get heart attack.



We not only have to think about the renovation cost, but lots of other additional cost. Thank God, this morning I received a call from the bank. My personal loan has been approved. Also, I received an email from the Nat Accounting off. I got some payments from MOHE, alhamdulillah. The money come at a very good time, hehehhe. However that amount still cannot cover the total cost & we need to use our credit cards. In fact we will apply for additonal cards. there are few items that we want to buy using zero interest scheme. Well, me & MyD are both ready for the 'expected' debts. It just that I hope with our new salary, it can cover all the expenses. I managed to clear our CC debts b4 coming back to M'sia. so far MyD cc never been used yet & we have 6k to spend. My CC, I had to use it when MyD was admitted to the hospital since he doesn't have insurance to cover the cost (but now he alraedy has insurance that will cover everything).



Seriously.. there are so many things to think. Not just the money but ... easy said everything. MyD is very particular on everything. The design, the colour, the etc,etc,etc... I agree almost on all his decision but need to monitor/advice on the money matters b'cause he is only good at planning but he always forget about the cost. hehhe. Just imagine, he wanted to buy a shower head that cost RM4k. Crazy.. luckily after few arguments, he changed his mind. then, few days ago he wanted to have sink with a table top in a toilet. the cost is 2k. ishh, ridiculous. I told him we cld buy lots of thing 2k & if we ask the contractor to build the table top, the cost much be cheaper. after looking at the budget, he kind of agree with me but not 100% agree yet.



I think I like the new layout of the house. Nothing much were done on the front side. Only at the kitchen area where we have dry & wet ktchen. The old kitchen will be the dining hall. We extend few feets at the back for the dry kitchen & the laundry area. Since MyD wants dedicated room for his computer so we decided to build a guest roo. The old guest room will be transformed into his comp room. The other renovation is on the car porch. Currently, only one car can get in. We have to knock down the gate to do that. The deco for the gate we decide to use grannite (I think that is what it calls) & we've been told it's not that cheap b'cos it's not easy to install them, huhuhuhu.



Tomorrow, need to settle few things. Sign the paperwork at the bank. then have to visit the shop for the kitchen cabinet & the wardrobe dsgn. Hope I wouldn't get another ehart attack on the cost, hehehheheh.



The truth.. it's really hard to get your dream house. unless you're millionare. While planning, it seems like we have to cut down on few things to suit our budget, huhuhuh. We already drained our savings in Thaji. Anybody wants to sponsor??? Feel free to contact me, hehehheh

Walk-in closet

For our future house, I really want to have walk in closet in our master bedroom. I've told syawal about it & hope we'll have enough saving to do it, InsyaAllah. What I am doing now, just browsing for any designs that I like & suit our budget, our hope. BTW, how do I get this idea? Few years back we got free night stay at one of the apartment in suddenly-I-can't-remember-the-place-name, but it's exactly besides Kajang toll. They have this walk-in closet design & I really love it. Simple & neat

Well for the house, major renovation will be on the kitchen, then followed by the master bedroom. For the living room, we'll do nothing except find suitable furnitures....well, the theme for our house is contemporary. Whatever we decide must follow the theme.... The problem is I am really suck at this.

As usual, this blog is the database for all designs that I particularly like :). This time, let's see design of a walk-in closet, but my preference is much simpler that this design. & I think our master bedroom is bigger than this. Plus, our future walk-in closet must attach/connect to the toilet.

Hall design

Still thinking on the design for our hall later. I prefer leather couch (the black one in the pic) b'cause they are neater & easy to clean. The LCD TV will be hanged on the wall, definitely. I am not creative at all in interior design thingy. If we have lots of money, we'll surely hire interior designer to design our new house. Anybody knows how much do the interior designers charge for their service, roughly?The main area that I'v put lots of thought are the kitchen/dining hall, living hall & master bedroom. I actually have started buying home mags & everything looks nice. Also, there're few blogs that show their houses design. They did it, either they're interior designer or hired an ID to do the job. Hmmm

So Anom, keep looking for ideas, OK :).

Home deco

Before we came to UK on 2006, we bought a house that was still under construction. Now we have the key & we've lots of ideas on what to do/ how to decorate when we move in later. Honestly I am not very creative in decorating but I want my house to look beautiful, stunning, neat, clean with light decorations but give sophitiscated appearance. Actually I am not very sure what word to use to describe it as my english vocab is very poor. So I need a theme for the house. Me & syawal agreed to set our home with contemporary theme. I've started to collect all the information/designs that I like & by the time we're ready to implement it, at least I have somethings to refer to. Besides, whatever we want to buy for the house, we've to make sure tha it fits to the theme.

Starting from today, this blog will be the 'unofficially' database as I can access it anywhere & don't have to worry about the storage problem.

However we need to do some renovation to the house that will require large amount of money *huh*. How to get that money as I foresee lots of money will be needed when we go back to M'sia next year, InsyaAllah. I am not sure if our saving are enough to cover all the expenses but I hope so.
